ABOUT

𝐏𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐀𝐄𝐌𝐁

Alpha Eta Mu Beta (AEMB) was founded in 1979 by Dr. Daniel Reneau at Louisiana Tech University in order to recognize students of distinguished scholarship, leadership, and exemplary character. Since the founding of our society, more than 50 chapters have been established internationally, including the Texas A&M University chapter.

The objective of the Texas A&M chapter of Alpha Eta Mu Beta is to bring into closer union and to mark in an outstanding manner the biomedical engineers at Texas A&M, who by their scholastic achievements in college, have manifested a deep interest and marked ability in their chosen life work. Additionally, the chapter will promote a better understanding of biomedical engineering to others and further the development of its members through wholesome activities beneficial to Texas A&M.

The mission of Alpha Eta Mu Beta is to:

1. To encourage full participation of member body

2. To unify the Biomedical Engineering department in presenting needs and ideas

3. To create a closer student-faculty relationships

4. To assist and co-operate with all related organizations

5. To benefit the members in a group with similar interests, abilities and purpose

6. To promote professional development and welfare of its members
